About Me.
I grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and moved out West to pursue my passion for adventure, including mountain climbing and backcountry exploring. At 15, I attended the New Mexico Military Institute, which instilled in me the values of leadership, honor, and camaraderie. Afterward, I served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserves for 14 years, including during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. I later earned a philosophy and political theory degree from the University of New Mexico and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law. I practice civil and criminal trial law in the firm my father founded in 1961. My diverse experiences shape my fiction writing, giving it a unique voice. My debut novel explores contemporary socio-political issues through the eyes of a trial lawyer, with a sequel in progress.
